I would probably start with the bank. Not sure if we have an address.

You can certainly use it as a passive speaker but I would try to get it fixed! Parts are still available for the Mk3 which is to all intents the same as the Mk2. Where are you based?

djs: My BL3s are well and truly run in. I've had them since they were first released. I use them with a BeoCenter2. When first installed they buzzed. This was sorted out by the installers by moving the cabling in the wall cavity to avoid electrical interference. They are the correct cables. I think the BL3s are good with jazz and even chamber music

The DAC idea is a good one. I'll certainly bear that one in mind. I am going to have a listen - no commitment! I agree with Soundproof about the BL3s. I am very sceptical about running in speakers but in the case of the BL3s, it certainly was my experience as well. I'll report back!

Completely unable to contact said member. I have sent you a PM.

The Stand by button should work!

You are not in Gateshead mid afternoon are you!?
-
Me too! That is why I am taking the CDX!! Harmonic distortion I would guess!

Don't you find that you skip channels when working the TV using the up and down keys? You will effectively have two IR eyes working the BV3.

The capacitors are very cheap so replacing them makes sense. Although it is of no help to you, the other RL speaker manuals are on site and have the values for the components on.
