I would guess that the amplifiers need servicing - components of this age do go out of spec and you can often find that a few misbehaving variable resitors can cause all sorts of problems. The fact they work when cool would suggest that they are certainly fixable. Your problem is getting someone to do it. The service manual is on site so a good electronics

Sounds like you have the Satellite decoder built in! The STB-C requires a software update and is used to control external set top boxes. I love my AV9000 too!

The Powerlink sockets have both left and right speaker output in each plug so you need a Powerlink to RCA adaptor. I would feed this to the power amplifier and bypass the pre-amp as you will be able to control the volume from the Avant then. The wiring diagrams are www.Beotech.co.uk . Best of luck!

It is exactly the same. The head unit is interchangeable - only the socket set differs. It is a Pioneer DVD drive.

And Puncher was the reviewer!!

These products have been available on line through the B&O website for ages in the US only. Obviously they are looking to increase the market. Obviously the geography makes dealers a bit scarce!
-
We are planning a review of headphones soon - all B&O types and a couple of high end competitors.
-
One bit of info - if you have a STB-C fitted, the P-i-P apparently won't work.
-
Not sure they will do this! You could be lucky but I doubt it. There are a number of people on site who will fix older equipment though. Where are you based. Or you could do it yourself! The service manual is on site!

That is called making do if nothing from B&O is available!! Let us know if you get it working with the Avant!
