the first one explained that B&O didn't get some kind of license from Apple (?) to do a rotary control.
I wouldn't be surprised at all if Apple had managed to patent a rotary control, perhaps in a limited context for this purpose. After that, it's a question

  • Re: LC2 strange fault...

Thanks Blackrix some suitable replacements are on the way to me this week - I was going to replace the other three electrolytics on the IR board too, so fingers crossed! I am going to guess B&O never released a CCT for this module then? Olly.

  • Re: Advice needed: Suitable components for a Beogram 7000

This player has a built in RIAA amp so can be connected to a line input (e.g. CD / aux etc.) on pretty much any music system, not just B&O.

Oh I like the phrase E core - I think we normally just refer to them as transformers, laminated transformers if you want to sound knowledgeable :) BTW, I have always wondered how they make toroidal transformers... I am sure there is a simple way maybe like seamless shirts but it is one

A toroidal transformer Evan, yes! Common in quite a bit of B&O stuff - I am sure more for it's dimensions than stability & regulation - strong points if you are wondering!.

  • Re: Beogram 4000: worth it?

Thanks for letting me look at that Jacques. Must say the 4000 didn't come away from that article in the best of light - I wish the author had qualified some of his opinions with a little more detail. Does everyone else agree with his opinion on surface noise? I for one haven't witnessed this but to be fair I haven't yet tried a new or re
