Tell me about it! I have to think that service is the biggest issue. The way things are manufactured it's very difficult to have a spotless record no matter who you are. Service has to be the major factor. It's funny that despite Apple's poor reliability, I consider their products the most reliable when I think of them. I've had to have
Regarding Trip and his post with the percentages... I don't doubt the numbers. Is it something that is mentioned when dealing with clientele?
Generally not, but I have discussed it before. I don't think that people are so interested in the statistics in individual cases. If you think about it, you could

If it's generally of interest: iPods have around a 15% failure rate Laptops have over 20% failure rate (mac included here) Televisions seem to hover just under 10% B&O is around 2-3% (internal numbers, I don't think any external body has done a review on us) This is based on warranty claims to mfg. Spot on Flappo. I recall these very conversations early on when the BeoSound 2 was first introduced. The iPod was brand new and Apple was not nearly the juggernaut they are today. It was stupid 10 years ago and it's stupid today. I can honestly say that BeoPlayer is the biggest joke left.

Speaker hum, in my experience, is caused by either the incorrect cables being used or an issue with electronics on the same circuit. Once we unplugged a dimmed lamp in another room and the humming went away. So check those things first (grab an extension cord and try plugging in the kits in other rooms and see if it alters the hum. As for the boomy

Soundproof, I'm not talking about a Mac. I'm talking about an AppleTV. Mac's a whole different story. An even worse one, but a different one

The access to the BeoMaster 5's content in link rooms is currently an Achilles Heal for the BeoSound 5. While you can certainly listen to N.MUSIC & N.RADIO, you can't browse the collection, but simply advance through tracks. We have set up a few workarounds for clients, but none really satisfy me personally. It has been openly discussed

It's true. I don't know if it's "sad, but true," but that's been my experience. Now I'm not saying that sound quality is of no importance to our clients or that they don't come to a greater appreciation of it as part of the ownership experience, but I'm talking about real capital-A Audiophiles. These are the people
