My advice would be to skip the Beocenter and fill your tank up with enough fuel for the return trip to Newcastle! That's a very generous offer for a nice system indeed :)
Hi John, Yes I have a Flightmaster. Cal 911. Yellow chrono hands. What a great watch. Also have a Speedmaster. I bought mine from the UK, maybe it's your old one?
Maybe Andreas...when I sold it on eBay though it went to Italy, so I suspect you have a different one! They have appreciated in value considerably
I think you should return this to the seller and ask for a refund. This old entry modell isn't worth that money even if it is working. Look for a Beomaster instead!
I agree. You've been sold a pup. There's lots to choose from out there in terms of vintage B&O, but some is better than others, and

Peter You know I love the 8000 system and I see where you're coming from. I have mine next to a black RF Avant, and when I see the smoked glass and LED displays on the Avant, I immediately think of the 8000 as that's where they started. When I look too at my BM 6000 and 2000, I also see the nod to the past with the big flush tuning wheels on

Let's be honest - it's not one of the best looking B&O products, and as most of us know, we like the marriage of form and function that B&O gives us...

It's a tough one as getting this type of stuff fixed can be a hassle, as there are so few people to do the work, and this is usually done in their spare time as a hobby so it takes time and patience to bring these things back into service. From my point of view I wouldn't bother, as there isn't much in my opinion to commend the 4600 over
