  • Re: Beolab Penta 1 revidieren

I would never use a knife or any tool to remove the frets. Most B&O equipment/covers is designed to be openend without any tools to prevent scratches. I have opened these frets some dozen times and none of them was ever breaking. I would hate it to have a scratch on the copper trim lines... and attaching the frets is also very easy, i really dont

  • Re: Servicing a LC1

Joost, i think this LC1 is gone... i have some more of this kind on my desk. Burnt, incomplete, scratched... typical Ebay scrap. Maybe there will be a Workshop LC1 one day... Martin

Hi Joost, do you think that my beginnings were different? What doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Especially when you are working on a 27kV high voltage transformator, creating beautiful sparks I'm engineer for mechanical design, not for electronics... but 35 years repairing tv's, pc's, audio equipment and racing cars does make some

Hi Joost, the displays are not difficult. Use both hands at the same time and pull the glass on both sides straight from the Pentas. Pull a little bit outwards on the sides with the fingernails. Then it will snap of. Pulling from only one side will break the hooks. And watch out for the orientation, there is a upper and a lower side... that's why

  • Re: Beosystem 5000 /5500

A BM5000 is not repairable? Why? There is really no problem to fix it... Only if you drop it out of the window, then it is not repairable. What's broken? Does it switch off? Ähmmm, the preamp of BM5500 6500 and 7000 is identical. There was just the board and layout changed from BM5500 to the newer models 6500/7000. But the electronic parts

Stopp

  • Re: Workshop CD5500 CD6500 CD7000 Reparatur Laser Controller Servo Platine
