Tom, I'm afraid my electronic tech knowledge leans more towards the hit or miss side. However, I have repaired various Beolits and have found a few with dry joint problems. Worth checking that out. The speaker can't be ruled out still and if you're on the right side of London near me you are welcome to bring it over to try it with a good

I agree with Peter. The speaker problem is very common as they tend to get 'stuck' losing all the bass. Can you describe the sound? Does the sound differ between FM & MW?

Just contact the previous owner or whoever bought it - they'll be able to obtain the pin from the dealer or B&O. You won't get anywhere without proof of ownership.

Hi, I know you've removed the glass again but did the previous owner who dropped the unit refit the glass by himself? If he did what did he use to do bond the glass to the plastic? Too thick tape can result in the symptoms your are suggesting.

Still kicking myself. Some time ago I sold a white Beomaster 3000-2. It was a beauty and I have no idea why I sold it I'd buy it back in a heart beat even though I have no need for it.

It is for the Beosystems 3500 & 4500 range. Beomaster on top then either Beocord or BeogramCd on lower shelves. Space for CD's on the second shelf to the right.
