and another view....
What I love about this photo of yours is the first things you see when you look at it are the gorgeous LED displays on the Beomaster. Chris.
The Beosystem 5000 as yours could be contolled with the MCP5000 panel or the same remote as used for the beomaster 2000/3000. The MCP30 is remember.
Not true I'm afraid - the terminal 3000 (which I'm assuming you describe as MCP30) may look the same as the terminal 5000 but the codes are different so

There are 2 types of spring clip used with these cartridge mountings. One is a flat piece of copper & the other is a copper wire bent into a "diamond" shaped hoop (for want of a better description). I'm sure it is possible to make one if you can find some sprung copper - if memory serves me correctly the wire type was the better method
-
Looking at the rear of the cartridge & going left to right the signal paths are :- 1. Ground Right 2, Right 3, Left 4, Ground Left The turntable ground/earth wire goes to the cartridge body via the slotted hole at the bottom which accepts the spring clip. Chris.
Hi there, welcome to Beoworld. It sounds like a membrane problem. Take it apart and see if the dots in the membrane have worn away. Have a look at THIS thread for possible remedies. Steve
I have since found yet another remedy for fixing the MK 1's & 2's. Take a non working acetate laminated membrane

Same here - a bit new for me also I have never worked on one of these. Is it still under warranty? I'm very surprised that the B&O dealer you first sent it to couldn't repair it as it is a current model. Chris.

Hi Paul & welcome to Beoworld You need to let us know what model you have. Is it the Beocenter 9000 or the 6 disc Beosound 9000 ? My instincts tell me that there is a problem with your system which either they cannot be bothered to repair or that they don't know how to. Chris.
