Actually the head unit is identical to the DVD version; only the socket unit changes. There are now two finishes. It is available with or without DAB but remember that DAB cannot be fitted to one later. I would be interested to see what happens if you put a DVD in an audio only model! Would it spin?

I did have some problems with some SD cards and my BS2. I took them out and formatted them in another device and this seemed to cause a problem. I then deleted all that was on them via a card reader and then reformatted them in the BS2, and the problem went. Took me ages to work out what was wrong though. It was a while ago and I cannot remember exactly

Not at all. Very surprised to hear this though my 2 gets a relatively easy life as my wife refuses to use it!! She likes the 6000s better. Was the plug in direct sunlight? It shouldn't matter but looking for some reason.

Nothing wrong with the 28" at all. In some ways it may even have a better picture! I have the 32" and it is big when you first get it. Do remember that the 32" Avant screen is no higher than the screen on an LX6000 though.

I actually try to moderate very little - though I have done so today to try to reduce any hurt caused by a somewhat caustic post.
