Looks like a splendid day and very well done to all those involved. With an event like that, Henry had better watch out or he will be elected Social Secretary! Just playing a Seal LP this morning - always thought he seemed a nice chap! (And one of my favourite male voices)

How good are you at electronics? The service manual for the 5000 is available so if either you or a local chap are up to it! .... Only been to Wisconsin once when I was working in Chicago. Major thing I remember were the mosquitoes which were the most vicious I have ever encountered!

The AV7000 is one way as is all the rest of your equipment. A Beolink 7000 would work but only as an overgrown and inconvenient Beolink 1000. Don't bother! A Beo4 or a Beolink 1000 is much more sensible.
-
Can you draw a diagram of what you want? I think you are asking for two audio masters on the same system and the age of the components could make this unlikely to work. Do you mean Beocenter 9000 as well as Beosound 9000?

Sounds like a service job. Probably a power supply problem with the variable resistors failing. Where are you?

I think both are interesting though I must confess to not really wanting a holder. I think you are all a bit critical of the Lintronic one - I think it an elegant solution and one that will be liked by many people. I think Jay's solution a brilliant bit of home engineering! A bit of lead on the base will give it more stability and a nice weight

Look at this . Ridax is a member of the site and his products come recommended.

I'll ask about the dented ones! The dent is not that bad but left a nasty taste in one's mouth. Shame they were not treated better. I felt responsible as I had encouraged their being lent. And clearly nothing else was going to be done!

joeyboygolf: Peter: Just gave away a pair of 5000s!!! Now , I know that's true Peter but I believe that you should also state your reasons for doing so! By the way, what happened to the dented ones, I may be interested! Why spoil a good line! Actually I am swapping them for a CD5500 and some other bits! I actually didn't even unwrap them as

That will work fine. Ridax actually does a lead - see here - that allows you to control the iPod with your Beo4 when connected to your Ouverture.
