I also thought the ICE amplifier was for the built-in speaker, a friend of mine has the F300 which is also ICE powered, and the sound from the MP3 player section was horrible compared to my Nokia 6300! I wonder if B&O thought how negative this could be on the ICE power reputation, because most people will believe that ICE power in a phone means

It does look nicer to me than the original Samsung, and in terms of design I would have preferred Serenata to look like this! That said, if it only offers MP3/WMA playback, like the BeoSound 2 that I have, I wonder how well (or not well) it will sell, as the original Samsung version has an FM tuner, photo player, microphone, and probably the same sound

To me, David has summarized in one word what B&O has become: excentric... When I discovered B&O in 1989, I fell in love with ALL their products , even the BeoSat RX and the video tape packagings.. Now almost everything they release is not receiving comments like "wow, this is beautiful, I wish I could have one", but rather like "ok

You may be right about BeoMedia, ever since I bought BeoPort I stopped using my BeoSound & eventually sold it 6 months ago! I think that BeoSound 5 could have been an updated BeoSound 9000 (which is still B&O's best seller I think), with a socket panel like BeoCenter 2, that would have integrated a hard drive, DAB and all audio connections

Hi, all my music is compressed at 192 kbps in WMA and there is no problem indeed. If you look at the setup menu in BeoPlayer and BeoPort, you will notice that the maximum bitrate for recording is...192 kbps, so probably BeoSound 2 has been optimized for that. Or(and) maybe B&O simply "forgot" to upgrade it...

I'm wondering how expensive B&O can go with a digital media platform, because the concept should be some kind of BeoMedia, with only audio sources & connections: it should have a CD player to store all your CDs on the BeoSound, and use the CD key on the remote, maybe it would be also a CD recorder; it should also have a radio feature, probably

Taken from B&O's latest financial report: "A new audio concept will be launched in the second half year, which will set a new standard for the way people can enjoy music in their homes of the future. The concept is an important step in the direction of the new ways in which people will experience music in the converging digital world. "

Definitely updated BeoLab 4500 + 5000, with a larger display matching the colours of BV7's display. It drives me mad to see all BeoVisions now being flat & wall-mountable, without any BeoLab to go with in terms of design & flatness. I think the latest catalogue shows BeoLab 5000 with BV7 wall mounted, it looks splendid! To me the BeoLab

If I take the latest price list in France, the MX 4200 was sold at EUR 1,665. Considering screen size, the small BeoCenter 6-23 is priced at EUR 3,530, while -considering price- BV8-26 goes "down" to EUR 3,000. It's still twice more expensive than what people were paying a few years ago to enter B&O's TV world...

On my wishlist for new products, I'd love: - a BeoSound 5, the high-end sound system with digital sources, digital connections, a large sensitive screen to navigate in the menus; - a BeoLab 6, a combination of BeoLab 6000 and 8000 in terms of design, with powerful ICE amps (think vertical BeoLab 7-1!); - a BeoVision 2, based on BeoCenter 6 without
