  • Re: Wierd variations and oddities.

There were two main series of Master 610 built; First series (units with a serial number lower than 761000) has no provision for MPX stereo decoder. Second series (units with serial number 822001 or higher) are ready for MPX. There are microscopic differencies like the type of regulator transitor used etc. but apart from the inclusion on an arial trap

  • Re: Wierd variations and oddities.

I don't ! I imported a basketcase Beocenter 3600 from the UK and restored it to like new condition (photo). Later, I traded it for something else with another danish collector. I immediately regretted doing so and I am now looking for another... Martin

  • Re: s40 woofer same as the s45?

There are no less than three different types of Beovox S45. The woofer in Beovox S45 Type 6427 (two-way system) will suffer from foam rot if not already refoam'ed. This woofer has B&O part no. 8480158, it's a 6,4 Ohm woofer unique to the Beovox S45 and S55. The woofers are repairable and I have a pair for sale, refoam'ed and ready to

  • Re: What Are You Working On Now ?

Doing a bit of veneer work, this Beomaster 3000 was very nice but it had a nasty chip at a rear corner: Cut out and cleanup : Match a piece of veneer : Glue in, flatten and polish. Not perfect but will do at a rear corner : Martin

  • Re: Beolink 1000 Mirror

I'm afraid, I will have to agree, it's homemade. Nice work, anyways. I have a white one, original with lettering: Martin

  • Re: updated: BM8000 won't start up any more

Well done ! The quiet tuner is probably a cable running to the processor board, pulled out from the tuner module. That happens easily and unnoticed. Enjoy that Beogram 8002 ! Martin

It's a bit difficult to say exactly what the red label indicates but the ones I've seen with red labels have been slightly different from normal in some way or another. My guess is that they are prototypes and/or machines meant for testing purposes. Could be interesting to see a photo of the Beomaster 5000, the label and the innards. Martin
