The CX100s are ridiculously simple speakers internally, unlike the outwardly very similar C75s which have a Log line construction. The surprising thing is that the sound is pretty similar - the C75s sometimes being described as slightly sweeter. The drive units also differ - the C75 ones cost twice as much! Pedro is correct in that the speakers will match very nicely but I think spending this amount on rear speakers will be money wasted. Rear speakers get relatively little traffic and so I would buy the cheapest speaker that you would be happy listening to. For me that is the 4000 and I still think they are wasted! Have some sympathy for the MCL2P and

Keith Saunders: Like others I would suggest the Beolab 4000's as your rear speakers, in fact that is exactly what I have in place and have had for many years. Likewise!

jk1002: 1) I don't know this. Sometimes there can be compatibility issues. I thought I read here that there might be a B&O Earset 3 for the IPhone ....... not sure if this was a joke or not. Think stereo Earset 1.

I can understand that. The DVD2 outwardly has some of the charm of the 7000 system. However I am a little wary as I am not completely convinced that it will integrate as well as it could and I am not totally enamoured with its menu system. However this is all based on documentation rather than any hands on so I will reserve final judgment until seen

Interesting question. The DVD2 is more versatile in some ways but is really a reboxed Philips. The BC2 is B&O through and through! (With a Pioneer drive!) I doubt that there will be much difference in sound quality. I don't know if the DVD2 can be an audio master though, but I doubt it.

I'll bring my BL7000 to the Manchester meeting for you to borrow! Then you will see what the 7000 system will really do. I replaced mine with a BC2 and in many ways regret doing so except for the DAB radio. I am really delighted that you have won!
