The 7000 system connects to the Avant through the Audio Aux/Tape 2 7 pin DIN plug and Beolink converter (1611). The MCL2A connects to the speaker 2 sockets of the BM7000. You can run a complete MCL system off this. You can also run a ML system from the Avant! I do have a spare MCL2A if you need one!

In a four speaker set up, the ideal is four identical speakers. However one has to bear in mind that in a cinema set up, the rears are used effectively for ambience as much as anything. It is an MX7000 IT Type 7802 from between 1996 and 1999. It would normally use a Beo4 so I guess your parents are using a Beolink 1000. Should still work though! Is it set the correct option which is Option 1 if it is a stand alone set not linked.

I never use 'double stereo' as it wrecks the stereo image. If you mean for parties, then I don't think it really matters.

You need a 5 pin socket to 4 RCA lead. Unscrew pin 6 and 7 as you will not need these. Maplin do the lead you want but they are commonly available.

Tricky! Cartridges deteriorate with age as the suspension gets harder.It will probably be fine and you could get over £200 on eBay. (just for the cartridge)
