  • Vinyl playback on newer equipment

It has been suggested by a member that he could make some very high quality RIAA amplifiers which could fit internally in a Beogram and allow the playback of records through the newer equipment which would normally need an external extra box. We are interested to know how many people would be interested in supporting this project as it is only feasible

  • Re: RIAA Amplifier

Send me a PM and I'll put one on tonight. I am afraid that I doubt you will get into double figures but if we don't ask, we won't know! I would suggest that we put it on the General Forum as it will get more views.

Have a look here and you will find the manuals of which I spoke!

  • Re: RIAA Amplifier

Afraid I agree with Graham. We have had a few projects and initial demand seems fine but when it comes to it, very few people sign up. Even Gold membership here is still below 500 so i think your market on Beoworld is very limited. However there is an increasing demand for vinyl used with newer equipment so it is worth asking the membership. Dealers

  • Re: Remote Mains Switch Type 4001

Nothing wrong with yours! Keith's is from the catalogue. Yours are entirely original!! And available for all to see here ! (Lee has tidied it a little!) The manual is available in the manual section in pdf form!

  • Re: Do I need to clean my ears, 7.4 question

The 3400 does lend itself to servicing as it comes apart very nicely. I still prefer the 4400 which has more punch still and also the Beolab 5000 system which is just so well made. I think you have been lucky with your CD4 records - if someone has played them with an unsuitable stylus, it tends to wreck them. I think we need some pictures!

  • Re: Fitting STB-C to MX4002

It did take the Newcastle technician two and a half hours to do mine and we had a few false starts! Mine wouldn't work with the most up to date software so we used 2.0

Very nice tale! Do you listen to many quad records? I was always very disappointed in the quality. The 9300 is also a disappointment - it is really an Ouverture which has been put into a 9500 box. I am afraid the Sanyo amplifiers were pretty common for the audio range at this time - no nice Darlington transistors! I had the 2000 and 3400 Beomasters

  • Re: BeoVision 1 STB-C question

I am sorry but I don't have a BV1 and there is no mention in the handbook of this little foible. There is usually a back up battery to save settings though in most sets so this does seem odd. I'll ask around.
