  • Re: Please some trouble shooting on the following:

Hi first thing you have to do is check for dry solder's, on the connection board where all the connectors are. it's very common on 10+ years old TVs, if the connection is bad and TV loses contact to the motor. it will save that there is none, and you have to unplug the set to get it to find the motor aging. this is what I cut think of

I have looked in to it, it use the Power link data for vol. in digital mode here is way i don't think it's mend as a B&O connection SPDIF - Listening experiences When you connect BeoLab 5 to BeoSound 9000 (type nos 2571-2580) and BeoCenter 2 (all types) we recommend that you always connect both the analog and the digital in/out sockets

beodim: wtlc2zpx: The DVD2 does not have an IR eye and rely on the Beovision signals being sent on AVL. p. Does it mean that if DVD2 is connected to a Beovision not via Scart but via a HDMI-DVI or Y-Pb-Pr cable, then it can no longer receive IR signals through Beovision and hence no longer be controlled with Beo4? has to use both Hdmi for pic. scart

joeyboygolf: You should be using Mk3 Powerlink cables. These are the ones with the small triangle on the plug. They were specifically designed to overcome interference problems with the new generation of speakers such as Beolab 3, 5 or 9. To BL5 it has to be full mont, because it use the datalink to adjust vol in the amp. in the speaker The bl5 is not

  • Re: BL5 Noise problems

yes BUT I will almost guarantee here is the fault... on the connection modul there will be some dry solder points on the power link connector. pin 7 is used for ground to BL5 if this has a bad connection there will be noise in the speaker. pin 7 was not used on your old setup... is it possible for you to connect the BL5 direct to your radio ?

Yes it cut be done, but you need to make your own cable, from a normal Power Link. Green and brown is L/R, yellow has to be supplied with +5V to power speaker on. and shield and blue to ground.
