  • Re: PUC Controllers

Jean, Well, not particularly technically difficult, but even if you had a copy of the DEC file and updated it successfully you would still need your dealer to update you PUC with the Service Tool.
  • Re: Beovision 3/32

Maurice, I am very pleased you managed to get your Beovision 3 back working. At about the time of the introduction of the AVANT B&O concluded that repairing to component level outside a B&O workshop could not really continue mainly because of complexity of the product, so they introduced "Module Swap Kits" where a module and even a

  • Re: where do i find the manual downloads?

Apologies to all of you who were trying to get to various pages on the main Beoworld web site at the weekend, unfortunately the ASP server had a problem, but it was up again Monday morning. For those who want to know what ASP means, they are " Active Server Pages " meaning the web pages run on the server

  • Re: Moving Beo5 Software to New computer

Diggs, Transferring the Configuration Tool to another Windows Based PC is not a problem, but the login and password is best re-entered manually. Install the Configuration Tool using the normal installation program, then save from the old PC the "Clients" sub-directory and if you have saved any templates and/or third party XML files not supplied
  • Re: Beo5 and Humax STB

In that case what you are seeing is almost certainly the inbuilt delay in case you are for example entering several digits of a channel number. When you have to press OK (Centre button) press it twice quickly will override the timed period.
  • Re: Beo5 and Humax STB

Hello Stuart, I am assuming the Humax STB is being controlled via the PUC in the Beovision 8-40 and NOT directly from the Beo5 ? If you use the original Humax remote control does it also take 5+ seconds to respond ?
  • Re: Beovision 3/32

Maurice, Whilst Peter's statement is completely true, the following diagrams of PCB4 and PCB5 may assist you. They are not complete wiring diagrams, but they do show the key components used in each part of the overall circuit. The first image is of PCB4 Power Supply from the mains input which feeds into the inputs on the second image

  • Re: help wanted beocenter6 power up problem

A very warm welcome to Beoworld and sorry that no one has post answer to your question. Given your "Problem Statement" I would say that either you have the wrong pin code or you are entering it incorrectly. Are you sure you have the correct pin code ?

  • Re: PUC Controllers

Jean, In answer to your three questions, my answers are as follows:- You CANNOT extract the data for your Sony HX1010 from the PUC in your Beovision. You need the original DEC file to be updated. There are lots of software and capture devices available, but I tend to use the Lintronic box to capture the timings. You can see more about Lintronic at www
  • Re: PUC Controllers

The PUC in Beovisions are loaded by dealers using a B&O Service Tool and can be changed at any time by a dealer from a library of PUC files produced by B&O. Each 3rd party product supported by the PUC and in the library has an associated DEC file. This DEC file is a text file with a format unique to B&O, but in principle is quite simple
