Are we talking about two separate phenomena here with the B&O metal finishes: (1) leaving oils (and other dirt and grime) behind from our fingers when we touch our equipment, and (2) an applied finish that will ultimately wear out no matter what precautions and cleaning we do?     So, what next? Lots of listening, that's for sure. Plus the following: 1) Continued experimentation with the tilt of the M70s via the spikes in the stands. 2) A better switch box from Sounds Heavenly. Not just for better fidelity but to support the site. 3) A new cartridge from Soundsmith. Jaff hasn't tried one, so he couldn't offer any

    And here's a shot of everything integrated into the system. Top (sixth) shelf, partially out of view, has nothing on it save the FM antenna. Next shelf down (fifth shelf), the Beogram CD X wired to the selector box (RCA cable to RCA jacks) on the second shelf. Fourth shelf, the Beogram 4002/MMC3000 (RCA cable) wired to the phono input of the Beomaster
