You could just replace the lid with a new piece of metal - or indeed anything else you fancy! To attach the lid, I always use two pack epoxy so it never comes off again! Use a slower setting one so that you have a little slippage when first fitted so that you can get the gap just right. I think the lids and back of these turntables are pretty poor

The B&O one is a simple lever and fulcrum. Don't spend much - the B&O one should be about £1 ! Therefore probably costs £10!

The manual is actually on site. I think all the Beomasters in this range use the same transformer so an otherwise non operative model could be your answer.
