(2) quick follow-ups from earlier in the thread... 1.) Did you indeed bypass the protection circuit? 2.) I did not see any further posts about refoaming -though they make look fine, they are likely degraded. After all that you have been through -it is a rather small investment. OTH, if you are happy... well, maybe just leave them alone.

This is a bit confusing... as far as I am aware: The RX only had the early "circular" style platter. The RX2 had both the early "circular" AND the later "spoke" style platter. Apparently, there was a running change during production. I have seen far more RX2's w/ the later platter.
