On the subject of new capacitors..... I just replaced the capacitors on my S55's. 3 caps on each crossover, unfortunately haven't found a replacement for the 3rd cap, 6.8 mfd 63v (might have to ask Martin) but just changing the others.....Wow!! Almost burst into tears (seriously & I never cry!) Before my speakers were far to tingy, bit screamy

Aaah! O.k. Thanks for the info! Just wondered why the changed to using pins.
-
Yes pins!! Lol!! BUT are they a part of an adaptor or is the cartridge made like that therefore not able to be used wth a BG4002
-
well i call them prongs. Eg mmc4.
-
I have seen many cartridges with prongs that come out the back. Do these prongs come off so that you could use it on a Beogram 4002?? I did look on Beoworld but couldn't find any info about it.

I washed my speaker frets as well from a pair of S55's. Can't remember how long they were in the water but I didn't rush!! They came out so nice and clean afterwards!
-
They never advertise it though? Such a popular remote as well. Never in any brochures.
-
MK6!! Never hear of that one. Does B&O still make the Beolink 1000?
-
Looks great so far. Much nicer than the Serene

I don't think I'd like to see any of the old products re-issued. They are special because of the era they come from and to re-issue them would seem like B&O had finally run out of new design ideas. Unfortunately in life you can never go back. It would be nice if we could some how manage to reproduce parts that are often needed. eg glass
