Hello, Have you checked on the female jack, there could well be a short inside! How did you test the bridge rectifier? I have never seen one of this kind blow in 30 years! Nice pictures by the way!

Hello, I guess you meant the 4002 is more clanky! As far as motor noise is concerned, there is none on my 4002. With my ear stuck on the left side cornet of the plinth I can hear a faint motor noise but it is only just audible! Have you contemplated a problem with the motor itself? It is of the brushed, Matsushita servo type and they are prone to brush

Hi, Upon close inspection on my 4002 there is nothing on the stainless steel. Extensive use has just a tendency to polish the metal. I'd leave it well alone.
