Yes - I did look at a DAC afterwards on Ebay but they are still pretty expensive for something I will probably use very little. Still thinking though!

The museum is no longer attached to the site. I am not sure exactly what Steve has planned but I think he still intends to set something up. He has my collection as a base and I know uses some of it in the hotel, which pleases me greatly!

No - I got a CD5500 instead!! To be honest, the build quality of the MF didn't inspire me - I was much more impressed by the Naim system.

It is likely to be the placement of the IR blaster. A two man job! One to press the button and the other to move the IR blaster to the right place!!

Available from your dealer - Spark to Icon has some pages of newer products at the back, otherwise they are very similar. There is a limited edition signed by Peter Bang.

Very nice! I had a 3rd generation one with dome tweeters but I always wanted the first generation! The cone tweeters are lovely little drive units and are very sweet sounding. I think they are better than the later domes.

Which ones do you have? The problem with them in my opinion, is that they do have a slight vintage sound. The Beovox M100 is quite a bit better for instance. There is no reason that you cannot use them with a Beomaster 7000 though as they can certainly handle the power - which is unusual for a speaker of this vintage.

I am afraid the service manual is pretty hopeless! The frequency response of the drivers are not mentioned and the filler unit is not even given a frequency range. The other units have crossover values off550. 2500 and 8000 Hz. It does have a circuit diagram and component values but if you have M100s already, this doesn't add much!!

Obviously engage the transit screws, remove the top platter and tape to the bottom of the unit. Tape the subplatter down so it cannot move. Put some foam rubber under the arms and tape them down. Tape the wood surround in place so it doesn't slip forward releasing the top plates. Fill it with polystyrene chips and place in a box full of chips after
