soundproof: damatt is right. I'm using the 1611 between a Beosystem 6500 and BeoVision 8, and it's working perfectly. Don't have anything between the powerlink connectors though - only between TV/AUX on Beomaster and Converter. What's the benefit of connecting the Powerlink connectors? In this instance, the PowerLink cable (fully wired

macsat goes right to the source! Bravo!! Don't forget to switch the BeoLab 3's to 'Line' input. Russ

Hi Sal, Roger is correct, BV-5/9 uses the Plasma display itself to show all pertinent info. Yet another reason I can state that the BV-7 is the 'true' successor to Avant. BV-7 uses the built in LED/LCD display to provide the same sort of information that Avant provided. Very cool! And, yes I know the difference between LED aand LCD. ;-) The

Mr10Percent: ...but here is the big BUT. Would it be concievable that if I bought a high-end CD player from Linn, Krell or Chord to name but a few - which were in the several thousand pounds per unit bracket, they would be comparable to the CD reader on my £250 HP laptop? Could one argue that 0's and 1's are just that or could one argue

1) Avant...Avant...Avant. (Dark Blue) 1.5) AV-5 (Orange/Copper) 2) BeoVision 7 (Dark Grey) 3) MX (White) The Avant and AV-5 very clearly are the 'same' design, meant to serve somewhat different purposes; but as was stated earlier, the CRT forced David Lewis to be creative in finding his solution. Knowing that what we all wanted all along was

I think you're on the right course here, except that I would go for the 7-4 as my center channel speaker. In the space you describe, the 7-1 or 7-2 would muddy the front 'stage'. Russ

BV-7/US is perfectly ready for Digital/ATSC. The tuner is built in with it's own antenna/CATV input alongside the NTSC antenna. Order your tomorrow! Sounds like a terrific system to me. The store at Tyson's Corner (VA) had one set up just like that for a while (OK, not those colors). Russ

You switch inputs just like you always do on a Beo4, press the button (or use 'list' and 'go') for the input you want. The PC Iput Adaptor uses a nonstandard B&O part number in the US, as it is locallay sourced. Check with your local shop. Russ

Hi Frank, On the Beo4 press 'List' and 'Stand By' at the same time the display will say 'Add?' press 'Go', look for 'PC' on the list of options, press 'Go', the Beo4 will say 'Added'. You're ready to use. Russ

Hi Frank, There is a way to do exactly what you want to do...but you need 2 more things, a BeoLink Active and the PC input adaptor. Stay with me for just one moment.... Connect the MasterLink, and the 'eye' to the Active kit, use the PC Input adaptor to connect RCA(Phono cables) frpom the TV to the PC input on the Active kit, use a FULLY wired
