  • Re: Beogram 8002 Crackle

I can only agree on those Beogram 8000, 6000 series. By meaning that the age has come for them to have a qualified service. If done correctly they are truly wonderfull work of,dare I say it? art. I'm very biased living in Denmark as far as locating and getting it serviced all though when it comes to the more complicated work like the 6000/8000 system

How do you clean your records? I have tried new vinyl as well and they don't always come 100% clean or spotless. As for cleaning I use: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-AM-CD-RECORD-CLEANER-FLUID-CLOTH-STYLUS-BRUSH_W0QQitemZ110270563605QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item110270563605&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1318 This stuff works great. If dirt gets on the cartridge

  • Re: Who made the best buy on a used Bang & Olufsen gear???

Ok the last B&O purchase was done 1 july 2008. 1 pair of Beovox S80.2 in white! Really good condition on the outside. A bit of foam root so they are in the hands of Dillen who also supplies original stands. Price so far - transport: about 45£ I'm the 3rd owner of these.

  • Re: Beogram CD X 1986 vintage: diagnostic questions

If the CDX is well packed shipping it to Denmark it really is not the problem. We are not talking Canada here! I got my CDX in february 2008 and I was prepaired to go to Dillen straight after I bought it as it had typically left hinge broken and some electronic problems to be looked at. Once Medogsfat fixed the hinge everything else went quick and to

  • Re: beomaster 2000 speaker issue

If it's Beovox X types then find some better speakers like the Beovox S-45. Beovox X series are B&O's most horrible sounding speakers. The 2000 sounds good though.

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 Quad Speaker Choice

Well I ain't got a BM6000 quad but have been thinking of getting one. Acording to the B&O catalogues on site the ideal pick would be Beovox 5700. The quad setups are usally shown with 4 of those. Any Beovox that would fit with correct values for the Quad would be a good match.

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

It varies a bit these days. I got my Beogram 6006 back from Dillen so it's a matter of how the original MMC20EN sounds against my Beogram 8002 with a Soundsmith mmc2 and my nearly unused MMC20CL. So far Kelis Tasty on double vinyl. I also got my Beocord 9000 back so it's good to hear tapes again. So far played some Hendrix and Metallica bootlegs

  • Re: Best replacement for two MMC20EN cartridges

At the moment I'm using a original low used MMC20EN on my just rebuild Beogram 6006. Also on hand is a nearly unused MMC20CL. With that I'm pretty biased as it's sounding good. I have yet to notice the tonal differences between them but they still work perfectly despite the age. The MMC20CL has 1981 stamps on the paperwork included. I do

  • Re: Beogram 8002

That was the same thing my Beogram 8002 did at some point. Push play and it goes to start and back again. If pushing play a few times more it would play normaly. In the end it started to skate across the records so that was it as far as using it. The cure? Dillen fixed it. Caps, adjusments, soldering etc. CPU's one these Beograms seldom goes wrong

  • Re: Correct fuse value for BG 4000?

Good to hear that you finally can enjoy your Beograms. My Beogram 8002 is still playing like new since I got it home about 6 months ago. The only noise is the end of a record when the arm is lifting and goes back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuRY6HjR6yk Yes it's my Beogram in this clip. All of it exept DAT and M150(He did find some stands though
