I think the quip about the software was an ironic comment by B&O as Beoworld seems to get information rather more easily than Struer would actually like! I dare say we might get it but no promises!

soundproof: David: VERY cool, you must be feeding those speakers steroids, because you always have wacky stories with your BL3's, and people vowing to buy a pair! I guess that if I were to take the BL5s out on the patio the birds would drop out of the air ... More than likely - but probably vultures to feed on the broken body having lifted the 5s

Mine does the same - needs dismounting and cleaning - never find time!

Quite a few still going! Martin Logan and Quad for starters! (Though Quad is not the same company really!) Quite a few top end speakers use them in conjunction with a sub woofer as the problem with electrostatics is the amount of air they move - or rather don't! Personally, I think ESL63s are fine all by themselves but some people prefer more bass

My one (an early DAB version) does not.

David: - Cassettes were dreadful IMHO You need to hear a properly recorded cassette on a decent player - the Beocord 8002/4/9000 springs to mind. Or have a look here to see what you are missing in the portable department!
