  • Re: Beosound 3

Looking at that seller's feedback combined with the use of 'Private' bidding for previous sales, I'd be rather suspicious. Am I alone in thinking that eBay Private bidding helps facilitate the sale of stolen goods? But the bidding has reached £180 at the time of this writing. Re Elephant's tale on identifying a thief, there

  • Re: Beovision avant 50hz or 100hz

[quote user="scramble"] So far I have noted some comments on the earlier 28" avants regarding the tubes having some problems in the longer term, the RF models appear to be better in this regard. Size is the reason for preferring the 28". However the later 28" RF models seem to be 100hz which from what I've read of other

  • Re: I just got me an HDR1

I have found mine to be an easy way to add an alternative/ later STB chip. For £150 or thereabouts it's cheaper than calling out B&O to put a later chip into your TV on site and you get the hard disk recorder as a bargain extra! Graham

[quote user="j0hnbarker"] Graham What issue? I have a 28'" RF Avant and am very pleased with it. Do you mean the difference between the 28" and 32" BV3, where the 28" is an upscaled MX set, and the 32" is basically the innards from a 32" Avant? I think the 32" Avant is too big, but the 28" is about

Hi Scramble. Welcome to the forum! Any reason you are looking for a 28" rather than 32"? I suggest you search the forum regarding the 28" Avant. You will find that there are some potential quality issues. Also look at the opinion on the 28" Avant expressed in the Jarmans' B&O collectors book. Go for Peter's 32" 100hz

  • Re: BeoMaster 1000 - which / what aerial to use?

Seem to recall that the official B&O instructions that came with my BM1200 recommended a very long external AM antenna across the garden with ceramic insulators at each end. I recall trying this but it pulled-in too many distant stations and phenomenal background interference. A relative who was an electronics and amateur radio expert took one look

  • Re: B & O 3D TV

[quote user="Peter "] Untill 3D is available without glasses, I see it as a niche format. I actually don't have 3D vision anyway (amblyopia) and neither does my daughter. This is commoner than people think and will always limit the market. I had to wear the daft glasses at the cinema simply so the picture was not all blurred - a complete

France part 2 Reply Favorites Contact I rang B&O in Montpellier and could not get any reaction out of them. A neighbour who has keys for the house rang Montpellier gave them his telephone number as I had to go home. Two weeks later no news the neighbour rings again to be told its your problem ring your insurance company! I was furious and in Dublin
