Thank you very much for stopping by and giving your expert input on it!

Our room is smaller then yours and we have a 55 ordered. My wife thinks the 40 we have now is too small. I think it would look fine in a room the size of yours.
-
Thanks. We have a Bevision 7-55 ordered and I already have the extra speakers so I will probably go ahead and try it out.
A new TV this week-end ! Gregory
The BV 10 is beautiful. The blue looks wonderful on it. Excellent choice!

Thanks for the excellent explanation. Any comments on AST where the speakers are basically in the correct locations but the possibility exists to add two more as rears that would not be ideally placed? I.E. 5.1 positions are almost ideal, but positions for extra speakers to make 6.1 or 7.1 are not ideal?
-
But all of the diagrams in the BV7 reference book show surrounds just behind and to the side of the listening positions and the rears centered and behind?
-
How do I do that? I only see options for surround and rear speakers in our current BV7. no option for side.
-
Thanks. What you are saying is what my dealer has also said. My thought was I could add the 4000s and set them both up as a center rear or as left and right rear and in that way have 6.1 or 7.1 surround instead of 5.1 and the AST would would take care of the less than ideal positions of the rear speakers.

Any opinions as to whether using AST with the setup diagramed below would make it worth adding the two extra speakers? Xs mark seating positions on a sectional sofa as well the chair on the right. I already have the speakers and new TV with AST is on its way so just a question of whether it is worth running the wires to the speakers and programming

Does anybody have any experience with it and comments on how well it works? We have a new BV7-55 coming next month and are eagerly looking forward to trying it. Curious to see how it sounds if I add two more speakers, for a total of seven, but not located in the correct places.
