Well done, and very well done B&O of Switzerland. I imagine that some junior members of the team were reminded that customer service makes or breaks a relationship and first impressions can be hard to change. I am very pleased for you!

Interestingly there is a hotel only model of BV7-32 with no DVD...... Not a lot of people know that!

If one works and the other doesn't, despite using the same cable, and making sure all the switches are set the same way, then the amplifier in the Penta has a problem. Slightly surprised that the light stays green though. You have checked all the switches are set correctly including underneath? (I am sure you have!)

I see the BV8 as an MX replacement. The LX was a very beautiful high performance TV - I bought a very late LX6000 new - I seem to remember it was about £1800 in 1992. However that type of TV is now obsolete as a main room TV is expected to do far more. It is also expected to be bigger and have more sources. I still use my 6000 (actually not the

I agree! As far as I am concerned, Bingo is a valued member. I have heard that B&O are not averse to his opinions being aired either! Helps encourage constructive criticism.

Actually I disagree! I value Bingo's posts - I don't necessarily agree with them - but I value them. I like having a voice of dissent around and it encourages others to voice their opinions. I would get the Beoport - or I should say - I have got a Beoport! ( I have 16,000 tunes on iTunes!)

Sort of!! There is an amplifier capable of producing 250W which is attached to the tweeter in the BL5. If it produces more than 2W at any particular moment, I would be very surprised. Producing sound is all about moving air and the amopunt of air moved in high frequencies is very small. the amount moved in low frequencies is much greater. This is why
-
Actually it does mean each speaker has two modules, one for the woofers and one for the tweeter. Two things though: 1. This is again power in rather than power to the drivers - think nearer 60 to 70W per module. 2. Try putting even 60W through a 1.8cm tweeter and see what happens!

The Stig - ver. 1.27: Peter: Alex: And of course 'distortion free' at full volume because of the use of ICE Power! All you get is dynamic compression, rather than the normal fuzzy distortion which sounds terrible on other portable systems. I take it that that is ice in the alcohol that is making you forget that the BS3 has an class AB amplifier
