Very debatable this! It records at 128 kbps which in my view is not as good as I would want. I record at 320 kbps which I cannot tell from CD - but I am getting old!! The number of songs depends on the length of the track so is difficult to estimate. The standard measure of tracks per Gb is usually done at 128 kbps though.

The R in MMC3R simply stands for Replacement. Most B&O cartridges used this nomenclature in lists but obviously it was not really used when selling to the public. I have a lot of cartridges now and the best sounding one is my Soundsmith one despite it being a SMMC20EN and my having CLs and 2s. I put this down to the suspension as the styluses are

The 3200 is made in Europe. Some devices do have components made in China - the socket case for the BC2 is I believe sourced from the Far East, but the head unit is made in Denmark. It has been noted that the BS4 has stickers on with Chinese writing on but on investigation, the actual product seems to be manufactured in Europe. I would be fascinated

peacha: i read philips will work cos theys is same anyway Unfortunately not. B&O do use some Philips components and also Sharp, Samsung and Panasonic - even Sony at times! - but the IR codes used by B&O are unique to B&O and are much higher frequency than most other makes. All replies get entered into the draw for the smaller book so you do have a chance of a win! The only stipulation is that you are registered and get one right!! I am sure we can come up with an alternate prize if necessary!

If anyone has older manuals that they could scan for us, it would be most helpful. latest requests are : Beogram 1200 Beolit 600 (60s) Beocord 1200 Reel to Reel. There are lots more needed as we would hope to build up a full set in time. Please PM me if you can help

No! They were taken by either Lee or myself in the last few days! I have acrobat so can zoom in though this is not necessarily helpful. I will post individual pictures on site as a jpg if any particularly are requested!

As an incentive, there will be a random prize of another B&O book - smaller but nicely presented - which will be drawn randomly from all the entries. This is your chance to win something for nothing. The only stipulation is that you have to be at least a Bronze member (free!) and you must get one product correct! This is to stop spammers from trying
