Have you made certain to 'unpair' the Apple TV and it's included remote? Russ

This is going to sound silly, but can you describe for us the physical placement of the BeoSystem in you system/room? Is it out in the open? Inside something? Russ

Hi M, please re-read the entire thread. Including my (accidental) double-post. Russ

Bang & Olufsen are just as tight-lipped as Apple when it comes to new products. The dealers should be aware that BeoSound 5 is coming; but Denmark has not released ANY details concerning how it works, or what it does. If you have seen the images shown on day 5 of the 'Star of the Day' campaign last month, then you know as much as your dealer

I wasn't directly involved in the installation involving the AppleTV, so I don't know which label/tag was used, nor which AV-input. But the TV was a new BV-7/US, so BeoSystem 3 PUC. The file is labeled 'Apple Remote'. Russ

I have seen this before on a BS-3. The HDMI connection can be a bit fiddly, mostly from the software side. Power the BS-3 down, or put it on another source, poer off the player, then unplug the HDMI Cable from either end, reconnect it and power up the player and switch the BS-3 back to it. Russ

OK BeoDane, 2 things: The AppleTV can be 'paired' to it's remote, rather like a Bluetooth device to a Cell phone. check Apple.com/support to see how to 'unpair' the box from its remote. Then on the first page of the 'Connections' sub-menu for the AV input you will use you need to change the 'Autoselection' to 'yes'

Hi Guy, This is actually the expected set-up in the kitchen. The MCL system ran off of the Speaker-2 output of Bang & Olufsen receivers (BeoMasters) which amplifiers in them, and the data and control was passed on a couple of 'extra' wires in the connection (the 2 3-wire connectors on your MCL-2P). Youwill not have independent volume control

It seems that there is an awful lot of mis-information flying around regarding the BV-8. I think we all ought to take a deep breath and cool offf.... The surround module wasn't 'ripped out' of the BV-8; it was never in there to begin with. The BV-8 started out as an even smaller TV, (26") and 32" which is coming to the US is an
