Great to hear that another Beogram 8000 and soon CDX wil be back in flawless working order. Instead they are usally sold on as most people don't know how or where to get them serviced. As for Dillen's input it's highly regarded here and my collection of B&O is very happy for his work. To bad that alot of older B&O goes to the scrap

Right know my Beogram 8002 is playing the latest 45 rpm version Kill'em'all by some band called Metallica. I got the message from Dillen a few days ago that my white S80.2 are now ready after rebuild caps and foamrot + stands. It's going to be cool to hear them. They look great for their age. Now he is working on my white S120 so it's

Ozzy Blizzard of Oz on the Beogram 8002.

I will say that it's expected to last at least a decade or maybe 2. B&O has very high build standards and we know all about their torture chamber. The products are mainly module build so if something goes wrong it's either software or change a module. I hardly think repairmen touches a soldering iron anymore. For the price given for new

I can only vote for the CDX. It sounds very good despite the Phillips connection and age. The sound is not as shrill or highend and even high end hardrock like Motorhead sounds great. Very simple to use and easy to connect to anything. I don't miss Datalink on it. Mine is used with a Beolab 8000 system with Beogram 8002, Beocord 9000 and Beomaster

When I got mine in 2006 it had the same problem. As it came from an Lauritz.com auction I could not complain and I managed to find the fault. I got it plugged in and pushed the remote. Nothing at all. Tried the remote on the L2800 which the LX should replace and again nothing. I did not know how to switch on with mk3 Beolink so I looked at the batteries

My CDX is faultless again. It might have been the cd but it plays well.10 days on standby was all. Anyway how long will it last? Depends on the repair. With age on B&O being 15-20 years before something needs service. A Beocord is a good example. What is typically wrong is the belts have melted or snapped. The 250 fuse is not aviable every where

I will go for any well sounding/recorded types of music. Ok one of my few Jazz bits is from Carnige Hall 1938 so not the most perfect but great music. Anyway there seems to be a lack of flair here. Any hardrock fans here at all? I listen to all kinds of music but hardrock and heavy still sounds good on a B&O system. What about Deep Purple Machinehead

CDX plays Kiss of death by Mötorhead. When Rock stays the same quality despite hitting 60!
