I stand corrected Graham Doesn't that make the 9500 a more attractive option then? The 2500 is a bit of a non-entity in comparison. Steve's dad could hook up some passive speakers to the 9500 in the meantime, and be able to use his existing JVC turntable, whilst still having the ability in future to connect the Penta 3s Steve has for him in

Steve 2500 = no passive speakers, hence the small size. I suppose you could get one of the MCLP2 amp thingies, but not worth it IMO. Would definitely go for the 9500, though you'll have to get a pre-amp I suspect as if I remember correctly there's not one on board as it was built into the 9500 turntable (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
John Have you by any chance been waiting a very long time to make a post like that? Simon
Yep :) We know we're not going to win the cup or beat Premier League teams every week, but most Leeds fans have had some of the recent additions to the Premier League in their sights after their fans took such pious

What about two-way communication? I'd go for a 9500 if I had the space and budget for one + a Beolink 7000. That's got to be one of the all-time great B&O setups. If you read Tim Jarman's comments on the 9500 vs. the 9300 you'll see that the accountants had as much to do with the spec of the 9300 as anyone else - makes it a bit of

Manchester United 0 Leeds United 1 Sorry Scumchester but Leeds did you good and proper today. We'll be back in the big time shortly where we belong at the expense of some of the joke Premier League teams like Wigan who can't get a gate of 9,000 at home unless they're playing a top-four side. We took 9,000 to Old Trafford today and could

I'm with Electrified here. Another thing worth considering is the context of a song within an album, which is totally different from a standalone movie that is completely self-contained. Add this to the valid point about repeated listening to tracks versus one or two views of a movie and I think the comparison with sreaming movies starts to take
Truth is Puncher, many young people in this "download it for free, listen, delete, download something new" age couldn't care less who is playing on the tracks.
Music for the Tassimo generation. So sad. Sniff :(

I'm 30 so that means that my life has spanned pretty much all of the recent changes in the way music is purchased, stored and listened to. Up until the age of about 10 I used to buy cassettes and vinyl, then after that when my parents bought a CD player I started to buy new music on CD then copy it back to cassette to listen to on my Walkman. As

I looked into this about eight weeks ago. Replacement batteries (minus fitting) were £67 each! Ouch!

Hi Ray Good to see you again on here. I guess your post was lost a little as it came at Morecambe and Wise time on Xmas Day! Hope you have a good European journey over the next few days :)
