• Re: Beolab 5000 grill cover question

Any thing other than the original material will have a vast effect on the value. However, with a torn fret, you should not have paid a great deal for them! Personally, I would not entertain anything other than the original so I wouldn't buy them at any price unless I wanted them for spares.

  • Re: Beogram 6000 disaster

Thanks Nick, all seems to be OK at present. I'm sure you could find your marbles if required!! 4 days seems a long time for the training course although Tim does indicate that they are "thoroughly unreliable" so it was probably time well spent.

The fact that the cd is spinning would indicate that your issue is something other than the normal capacitor(s).

  • Re: New pickup - replacement for MMC2 ?

Sorted!! Thanks once again to that genius who is TJ. Apparently, the new drive belt on the arm servo motor is too tight. Replaced it with the old belt and problem gone!!! ***edit*** Further investigation has revealed that the problem was lack of lubrication. The old belt was too stretched to drive the threaded shaft on a consistant basis. I have cleaned

I don't know which option is on right now, but it says on display TV control ...
very likely "A.Opt 0" I assume there are no speakers connected to BS 9000. Everytime you plug in/switch on a BS 9000 there runs an autocheck if speakers

  • Re: 2 Pin Power Extension Gang / Lead

Most B&O items were supplied with the two pin plug and stacking systems were supplied with the 4 way EU extension lead. You can get converters to fit on the two pin plug to convert them to UK 3 pin type. http://www.powerconnections.co.uk/convert_eurotouk.htm
Not sure if this has already been tried or if it's any help at all: B&O Tech info BGT-3 describes a problem: "It has been found that in some cases the arm raises undesireably immediately after lowering when the set is connected to a voltage source apprx. 10% below the nominel." Fix: 8R6 has been changed
