If the speakers are RL 60's the foam will have disintegrated on the ABR's and the plates will have fallen out - easy to check, just give them a shake & if something rattles then that's the problem. This will affect the value as Bass will be very lacking. Not a problem with RL 60.2's which will be reflected in the value. Chris.

I have one and it is a definate improvement on a similar condition MMC4. I still prefer my SMMC4 though as it is a bit brighter. I'm glad it was one of us who got that one on ebay (v good price) - I was watching it & missed the auction end due to work commitments. My advice? You only actually need one pin to carry the datalink. I forget which one it is but chances are you will screw it into the wrong hole first time & have to then switch it over. Very hard to get hold of now but fortuantely (for you ) it's the sort of thing I tend to hoard so I have a spare if you PM me your address. Chris.

I've always had a soft spot for the BM5500, mostly due to its versaitility having both RCA & DIN inputs. It's a godsend when testing repaired items such as CDX's & turntables. Sounds pretty good & looks the part too Chris.
