Can't remember but it may have been one of my reviews of the MS150 on Beocentral! Tim agrees though - he described my MS150s as the best speakers that had been in the house when I was last there!! Having siad that, he had just fixed them!!

With the BM8000 they are ruler flat - I think it is the 5000 when used with them.

Missing trim parts are a pain. I would buy if very cheap! The Beomaster 8000 is superb - very much of its era and ridiculously big, but a technical tour de force. The Beogram 8000 is also a technical masterpiece but not very well made. The hinge cover is very thin cheap plastic which distorts with age and if you are unlucky will shatter. The use of

They will have 2x125W ICE amplifiers per speaker, new drive units, smaller heat sinks and both will have the three way switches to aid placement. They are also delayed at present!! It is stated that performance will be unaffected and that the price will be the same!

The switch assembly has a screw holding it in place. I doubt the 8000 motor will be the same although they are outwardly similar - Martin will know more. This really is not a deck to practice on - it has more foibles than almost any other - mine, which is in excellent condition, still has one or two faults - the detector system is not completely reliable

Unusually for a service manual, the BG4000 is a good one! I think you need to do some work tracing power with a meter. Capacitors do not seem to be such an issue in the 4000 as say the 8000. However this is a very complex deck - the 4002 was much simplified in comparison. The fact that the control plate was loose suggests it had a slightly rough ride
