Not at home with my manual, but I think it should be option 6. I don't think you can alter another room's volume from outside without simply turning the whole system off.

erg4000: Realizing that I have to bring my Beo5 to a dealer, whenever I want to make changes in the software is quite dissapointing. Agree - the test I mention above tests the whole system - optical sensor etc. If it doesn't move, the arm motor is not being told to advance the arm.

Is the arm advance working? Take the platter off, then start the deck and drop the arm - it won't ht anything! - now gently move the arm inwards so that it angles towards the sensor arm. If it traverses inwards slowly, the arm motor is OK.

The output should be exactly the same. I suspect the suspension has failed I am afraid. Soundsmith might be able to help I suppose but it won't be cheap!

There is nothing particularly rare or unusual pictured - except one picture which is a little bit of a cheat - but quite a few of you got that one! There are a couple which appear very odd and some of this must be down to lighting and digital cameras. If you get above 20, you are a bit of a genius!

On the battery front, NiMH batteries with solder tags are what are required! Looking into this!

Permanent projection - only visible when the room is dark which is fine. A friend gave it to us! Made by a firm called Oregon Scientific. Not B&O quality and as I have lost the instructions, not that easy to set up, but it works! It also shows the room temperature or the external temp if you switch on the external weather station. You can do it on a BC2 - I have done that. I didn't realise that you could on a BS4. Nice one. So you can play radio and CD at the same time? I really did not think this was possible so apologies for misleading anyone.
