Superb hand made cartridges - IMHO better than the originals. My only grouse is that they look a bit handmade and do not match the silver arms of the Beogram 4000/8000 very well. Their answer is that they are more bothered with sound quality than looks and this is perfectly fair. But I would still like a silver SMMC20CL+ !!

There has to be a mix of old and new. If you just got the new ones correct, you would actually be in the top five replies... I am afraid we cannot design a quiz to suit absolutely everyone . The older devices shown are actually the easier pictures on the whole and a little research would actually reveal quite a few answers. I am also pretty lenient

Your dealer can certainly get one for you. I would suggest this is the best route as he can also probably advise if the sub-woofer you are thinking of will work. You can make your own if you want though! Welcome to Beoworld!

Mr Andersson is completely correct. There is however the prospect of 3rd party IR control in the future. The S/W I saw has 3 tabs to choose from: BeoIR, 3PartyIR,Delay. The BeoIR and Delay are both active but the 3PartyIR is not at present. It would suggest developments to come.

I have seen the software and each key has the ability to be moved and its properties such as name and colour to be changed. New keys can be defined either as command keys where they will operate a function or as keys to access another page on the Beo5. Keys can also be used for macro functions where a number of different commands can be sent by the

Martin is the expert here but I would suspect that you have a fault with some sort of loose contact with the volume control circuit. The volume control seems very complicated (I am not that technical!) but essentially seems to rely on a photo sensitive cell and some bulbs in a box. (I told you I was not technical!) Failure of one of these bulbs gives

Had a few more entries - thanks to those people. But I agree with the sentiment 'Why doesn't everyone enter?' This is a free draw and you only need one correct! Member participation makes the moderating team feel wanted so lots more entries please! Maybe we need a signature ' I entered the Beoworld quiz!'

The three keys at the bottom of the screen are not back lit, but the rest are. Perfectly satisfactory.
