I thought what we think will be the mini BS3 will just be a shared chassis to allow for a lower price point of TVs. It was rumored here that BV8 40" and BV7 32" will share the same. Since the BV7 32" is so painfully behind I would think that we see the new version soon, maybe with the BV8 40".

In the German forum in a thread discussing the european dealer conference it was mentioned that the BS3 would get an enhanced soundsystem in spring. Older BS3 could receive a hardware update, http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/thread/139933.aspx So this might be it. Cheers JK

?? USB Modem? You mean Dial up or cable/dsl? Normally you would link this modem into a network and then share it. Cheers JK

There are different options. Initially I used IRED and IRTRANS, just search here for that. It's basically a little IR receiver that attaches to your mac, IRED is a software that converts the IR signals into keystrokes or actions (it can do actually quite complicated things, a key store would be the simplest thing for it). That worked near perfect

The BV8 with 40" is supposed to get surround, might be optional though. For the updated LCD panel for the US, nothing is rumored plus I would think they would sell off the older ones first. They did the same with the BC2 when it got a minor update. If you are after a 2nd BV8, there is supposed to be an update to the european BV7 32" some time

All Beovision 9s have HDMI since the BS3 was in the back from day 1. I think the question is, will the BM5 physically fit inside the TV?

For the us in the US 8 out of the 10 million songs are available right away. The rest to follow by end of Q1. I checked the German apple site, it provides the same info as the US site so I would think the picture internationally is similar.

With Silver Membership you should be able to get there, you might have to send Lee a note. Cheers JK

JK

I 2nd or 3rd or whatever number we have the Beolab 5. From an "I can get way with it prospective", my BC2 and Beolab 3. Luxurious but understated and the combination sounds awesome. On a 2nd thought, the PUC that lets me control my Apple TV. That showed they listen to their customers. JK
