Years ago my brother in law bought a CDX to go with his BS2200 system. Years after I had a Sony CD playing through my BM5000. He was told his CDX was "beyond repair"and so he gave it to me - if I could fix it it was mine! It took no more than a few touches of a soldering iron to repair some dry joints and it was in as "new" condition

Not sure how being 10cm off the floor emphasises it's thinness. If it did they could've done it with the BV5 to mask it's thickness! I prefer the "close to the floor" look, it looks as if it were meant as opposed to just being on a stand.
