• Re: Beomaster 6500 lightening damage
I only found one fuse? It was fine and the power supply gets warm. There seems to be blackened components on the top board...I'm guessing thats where the problem is. I'm hoping the insurance will pay for all the replacements but it will be quite a mission to replace the Beomaster.
The top board is the

  • Re: Beomaster 6500 lightening damage

Sorry to hear this has happened. The problem with lightning is that the damage is never the same. So it could be a small repair but is could also be a big problem. Have you already checked the fuses? Are there any burned tracks on the PCB's?

  • Re: BV7 Load/Eject from Beo4

For some products there is an IR code for opening and closing, but it was never introduced. With Beo5 the function can be programmed, but I don't know if this works for BV7. On the other hand I don't understand the reason for opening the disc tray by remote, you always have to walk to the player to change the disc anyway. So why not push the

  • Re: MX7000 in same room as BS9000 with one Beolink 4?

Your MX7000 is probably in a wrong option for this setup. it should be in Option 1. To change this, switch the MX7000 in Stand By. After this press Stand-By and LIST on your Beo4 simultaneously. Now press LIST on your Beo4 until OPTION is shown in the display of the Beo4. Now press GO on your Beo4. The display on the Beo4 will now display V.OPT. Now

  • Re: beogram cd 3300

An also well known problem with CD3300 is bad solderings. Check the solderings of the powersupply, the big IC's (especially on the corners of the IC) and also resolder the wires that are soldered on both sides of the decoder PCB (ground). These also can cause problems. Together with replacing some bad capacitors this will almost surely solve the

  • Re: Penta II amp not working anymore...

I have had a problem with BeoLab Penta which did not switch on. When I started measuring on the front PCB things even got more weird, all the voltages I measured were wrong. After some investigation it turned out that the solderings of the connector from the main PCB the front PCB were bad. After resoldering them the problem was fixed!

  • Re: connecting VX7000 to Beovision Avant 28" DVD

You should connect it to the AV-connection named VTAPE (Scart-connector on the most left side seen from the rear of the Avant). In the menu you should also name this connection VTAPE. I would not use the AV-socket for V-tape since there is no tuner-dump on this connection.
