  • Re: Disabled Motor on my Serene

Quim, thanks. I did download the user manual and finally found this out. It works fine now, only, I now have no excuse to buy a Serenata

  • Disabled Motor on my Serene

Hello all, a little assistance please. My motorised assistance to open and close my serene has stopped working. Either one of my kids has fiddled with it or it has indeed failed. I cannot see anything in the manual that talsk about this. Does anyone have any ways of re-enabling the motorised assist. Somewhere in this forum there is a thread about better

  • BV5 now to the bedroom

Hi, my 2005 Beovision 5 sadly is now off to our bedroom. I shall keep the lab 5s, 3s and BS9000 in the family room. I am planning to convert our family room into a home cinema. It is 30' x 18'. I am looking for the forum's advice on compatible high end Projector, Beo System 3 and a high end motorised screen dropping down from the ceiling

  • Re: Most peculiar Lab5 Vibrations

Ok all, thanks for all your responses and debates especially Dave Moulton. I went off to our local DIY store and got 4 650 mm square concrete pavers. Two sandwiched together to make a concrete plinth about 5 inches high. Placed the Lab 5s on these. Re calibrated and then used a couple of B&O demo CDs to test any change. I also played the DTS DVD

  • Re: Most peculiar Lab5 Vibrations

Thanks Beoaus. I shall try them this weekend. Only problem is I understand it is not advisable to have a shiny reflective surface underneath the speakers ??.... Here is my room with speakers positioned. I have now brought them away from the walls by about 1.5 feet.

15 cm + is going to have to be covered indeed with black silk.... Thanks for your advice. I shall set out this evening to see if I can get 12 paving slabs... I still can't get over the irony...AUD 25,000 worth of speakers now made more effective with a 15 cm slab of concrete worth AUD 25 !!! Still, needs must !! Peter

  • Re: Extending my B&O System

I absolutely endorse yours and Keith's views/sentiment. I will of course go back to the dealer and reward them when I treat myself to say a Beo 5. I don't need it but what the hell !!. Peter, it would appear that the Panasonic DMR EH60DEB is not now sold, what would be an equivalent one with the necessary DTS decoder/encoder etc ??? Please.

  • Re: Most peculiar Lab5 Vibrations

Again, all, thanks for the responses. Last night I thought I'd try the easy bit first. So I moved the lab5s that were in the two corners of the room and about 12 inches from the back wall, a further 1 and a half foot away from the back and side walls, re calibrated and guess what, the base seemed a lot better. (I played a particular track with very

  • Re: Extending my B&O System

Again, thanks everyone re: the DVD2 and of course my most peculiar Lab 5 vibrations (posted elsewhere). I have just come from visiting a Melbourne DVD2 dealer. I am happy to say an honest one with integrity. They know about my set up and actually agreed with Peter. They said "we would prefer NOT to sell you a DVD2". I can also confirm it is

  • Re: Most peculiar Lab5 Vibrations

TThanks for all your responses and advice. Perhaps the speakers are too close to the back wall on either side of the `BV5. Trouble is the leads won't reach that further as the installer ran out of cable !!. So I am going to try this evening to move it slightly away from the wall and re-calibrate to see if it makes any difference. Not sure how I
