  • Re: How independent is Beoworld?

What I find strange about this thread is how B&O have reacted and it really concerns me about their marketing abilities and understanding of how to launch a product in the current social and online era. B&O wanting to hold the launch for themselves is what companies used to do years ago, where you put everyone under Non-disclosure and kick anyone

  • Re: Submit your ideas to ideafactory...

Ideas Lab needs to create a clear integrated vision and underpin it with its own common B&O platform. The Platform needs to offer a common software architecture to integrate Vision, Media Distribution, Sound, 3rd-party integration, A/V Networking. I would put products like Beo5, BeoSound 5, and BeoMedia 1 in a corner of the office as clear examples

  • Re: Beovision 7 problem

Hi there - yes I have the same problem from time to time. Its mostly on the link room TV which is a BV6-22. I find its most often related to the Sky HD box where I get sound, but no picture. I find the only solution is to reset everything with a cold boot. It used to be worse pre 5.08, now it only happens every 2-3 months. Its HDMI related. B&O

  • Re: Software 5.08 for BV7MK3

Have been running 5.08 the entire day and no problems so far. Have gone from 4.24 to 5.08. Like the new menu system - a good improvement. The link room works great with no HDCP issue. Well I think B&O may have cracked all the problems - finally.... Watching the service tool, there must have been a good 10 or so updates that were applied. Thanks

Hi everyone, B&O Reading are coming to update my TV this morning. I will update you on how it goes... But this could finally be the moment when my TV finally works perfectly. I have my fingers crossed. The folks at Reading have been superb throughout. I'll update you on how it goes later today. Mark.

  • Re: a Real AppleTV

Hi Hardwriter, "B&O is not yet quite so fast to forget its customers." I can very clearly contrast the customer service experience difference between Apple and B&O having just gone through both. Apple looked after me, wanting to maintain my custom and sending me a free pair of the new in-ear headphones. B&O didn't bother to

  • Re: a Real AppleTV

I agree with whom you believe the primary competitors are, after all, Apple is a volume consumer electronics play. But the B&O differentiation is fast running out. What happens if Apple build this new TV in an Ali unibody structure (like the new MacBook) - well thats your materials argument gone. Apples electronics engineering is in a different

  • Re: BV7 40 MKIII / SW 4.24 problem

Hi Seanklemis, Sorry I meant to say that 5.x will be released next week - which is an update to the current 5.02 version. This new version (lets call it 5.1 - but they did not say what rev it was.) included all the fixes for the Sky HD box. Standby for the new download. Best, Mark.

  • Re: BV7 40 MKIII / SW 4.24 problem

Hi all, Finally got an update out of BeoCare on this. An update to 5.02 will be released "hopefully" next week. Apparently it is already available to customers who are struggling badly with the problems on HDCP issues already via an engineering RC release. I asked to wait for the GM version on the basis that if the released versions are this

  • Re: beovision 7-40, Masterlink and Sound Delay

I have the same problem. And it is slightly annoying. Has anyone got a workaround for this. In my old BC2 and BV3 setup this was not a problem. When I moved to the BV7 as my media hub, this problem introduced itself. When I asked the dealer, he explained this might be a feature having given up the BC2 in my overall system. Any help would be gratefully
