Hi Jeff I guess that I have a similiar problem with my BG 4000, it was not working well at all a few days ago, but I have taken the diaphragm out cleaned it, adjusted magnetic coil, springs and assembly and put it all back together. Hi now dont laugh but I think these machines can be affected by the cold, yes I hear you laughing. Well I have a 4002 which I restored and was working great, put it away in storage, and months later I realised the temp had dropped (winter) when I went to take the beogram out to compare with another beogram 4000, I plugged it in and only the 33rpm button

Hi thanks I have got the manual and also for 4002, as I did look through the manual for adjusting the arm but I cant see anything to help with the skating motion. the skating problem, I am pretty sure this is fixable and is the tone arm, as an interesting note, I adjusted the spring loaded mechanism as the manual said and now the magnetic coil system

Hi I recently bought for repair a beogram 4000, its in great condition but was in a sorry state inside. having repaired a beogram 4002 I thought I would give this a go.
