I honestly don't know too much about how well engineered the B&O car stereo's are, but I'd assume they put a fair bit of research into it before slapping their name in any auto maker's product. This is easily an area where a company could 'sell-out' so to speak. Perhaps some of the B&O experts here can explain a little

Congrats to everyone that won! The 9000 would have been cool, but damn I wanted that book!

I don't mind the design at all. Granted, it doesn't make my jaw drop like the Beolab 8000's or the BeoCentre 2300, but it looks like what it is, a Bang & Olufsen iPod dock. It doesn't quite have the look & feel of a proper B&O stereo because it's not a proper B&O stereo. It's just an iPod dock, perhaps the worlds

Elephant, you bring up some very good points: -B&O used to pretty much have the market when it came to exceptionally high style & user friendly AND well made audio products. Apple and the digital music file changed that drastically. -Not only have the fortunes of B&O and other companies changed, but our personal finances as well. Even though

Though I'm far from a regular poster, I've been reading this site for quite some time. I must say there certainly are a number of people unsatisfied with B&O's current trajectory. While their arguments certainly have their merits, I don't really find the naysayers any different than in any other online forum. I'm also a member

Is the BeoVision 7 currently the only B&O product that can play Blu-Ray discs? Does anyone know if they'll be updating the BeoCentre2 for Blu-Ray support or coming out with something new? Curious. Mike S

I agree with the above, just go to SoundSmith and purchase an SMMC4 from there. They're extremely well made, matching or exceeding Bang & Olufsen's own specifications and they're NEW. Original B&O MMC cartridges can be found on ebay & the like, BUT: -they're never cheap -you could get shafted on the quality -they're old

Ohh, after my recent visit to B&O Toronto I'm pretty sure this is my simple wish list: Beovision 10 Beolab 5 speakers (just one pair is all I ask for) BeoCentre 2 Visually I'd prefer the BeoSound 3200 & the 8002 speakers, but I've heard the Beolab 5's and just couldn't pass them up if price wasn't an issue . . .
Ah ok so the last section had worked loose... The reason I mentioned the adjustments is that your dustcover doesn't look like it has the typical sag from your photos...?
No, it doesn't have the sagging problem, it's just lifted a slight bit at the front left corner. It's a bit noticeable in the

It is! I had the RX for about 10 years, but always envied the looks of the more modern & mid / upper level turntables. I think I'll stick with my 5000 unless I find myself with the extra few hundred to blow on the best BeoGram I can find. I don't honestly see that happening though, so I think I'll be happy with this! mike
