This has been covered in a post earlier this year and the cause was a simple dry solder joint which took 30 minutes to find and rectify. Don't give up on your AV9000 for the sake of a few pounds if it's your joy. Dave.

Yes it is Mika but it's non-operational (at the moment). I think the darker knobs blend in nicely on yours.. I would have thought more may have been added to this thread as there must be lots of old B&O systems out there. Nobody has shown off their 5000 system set-ups either which is a shame.. Dave.

Ours do that sometimes and the red light flashes as though the phone is in use. We disconnect the connectors, blow in them to clear any dust/dirt, put them together again and that usually does the trick. If it's not just a connector issue, one of the tech guys should be able to help. Good luck, Dave.

Just acquired a really nice Beogram 4004 from a seller in the US. It's a type 5526 as you'd expect. However, I assumed that it would be voltage switchable from 110 to 240v as most of my other Beograms are. I had some friends in Edgeley many years ago. Nice finding a Beogram 4004 in Sale - I may have been watching that one too as my father still lives in Sale and could have picked it up for me.
