This has been covered in a post earlier this year and the cause was a simple dry solder joint which took 30 minutes to find and rectify. Don't give up on your AV9000 for the sake of a few pounds if it's your joy. Dave.

Have you tried to re-register the handset to the base? Dave.

Yes it is Mika but it's non-operational (at the moment). I think the darker knobs blend in nicely on yours.. I would have thought more may have been added to this thread as there must be lots of old B&O systems out there. Nobody has shown off their 5000 system set-ups either which is a shame.. Dave.

Possibly, according to this article in the Telegraph today: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/8090803/Digital-radio-switchover-never-likely-as-listening-levels-fall-figures-show.html My older B&O won't be becoming redundant then after all. Will all of the DAB equipment become redundant instead and what could this mean for B&O

Ours do that sometimes and the red light flashes as though the phone is in use. We disconnect the connectors, blow in them to clear any dust/dirt, put them together again and that usually does the trick. If it's not just a connector issue, one of the tech guys should be able to help. Good luck, Dave.

With over 350 pieces of B&O at home, I think I'm already seriously infected!. Now that I have some of the Beograms running, I've just rediscovered the warmth of vinyl again. I can't wait to have the Beosystem 5000 restored at Classic Audio and put the black magic through that, the Beovox 5000's and the Cubes. Dave.

Just acquired a really nice Beogram 4004 from a seller in the US. It's a type 5526 as you'd expect. However, I assumed that it would be voltage switchable from 110 to 240v as most of my other Beograms are. This one has no markings or text on the rotatable voltage switch under the turntable which just seems to be a blank. The label on the rear

I think this guy has the decimal place in definitely the wrong place. I'm not sure that 5.00 GBP would do it! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bang-Olufsen-Beomaster-900k-/250716199999?pt=UK_Collectables_RadioTelevision_Telephony_SM&hash=item3a5fd99c3f I haven't stopped laughing since saw it. Dave.

Hi Clive, yes, shill bidding is alive and well and made even more easy by the dimwits at eBay who care more about profits (from listing fees, auction end fees, Paypal costs etc) than they do about their real customers who are the SELLERS, not the buyers. Nobody has anything to sell, you can't have any buyers. But all they say they are intersted

I had some friends in Edgeley many years ago. Nice finding a Beogram 4004 in Sale - I may have been watching that one too as my father still lives in Sale and could have picked it up for me. I'm afraid I don't miss the UK - or what's left of it, at all. Rural France is perfect for me though I work in Switzerland. I only miss Indian takeaways
