Last Summer, a dealer told me that B&O offered a DVI card that might give Panasonics the identity of a BV4, which I was considering to get auto-contrast working. I'm wondering if this would fix the current issue. I'd prefer not to do this though, as the card is, I'm sure, a bit pricey. My dealer is currently looking into solutions. I'll

marcus_m: Have you disabled the panel autodetection? Marcus I've never ventured into the service menus.

I just got my BeoSystem 3 back from the shop with a SW upgrade from 2.0 to 4.17. Now my commercial Panasonic T H - 3 7 P H 1 0 U K no longer turns on/off from the RS232 (Monitor) connection. Is anyone out there having luck with this combination? I was hoping I'd get lucky and gain sensor-based auto-contrast. I tried the D9 and D10 BeoVision 4 settings

Peter : Do you use Dolby C? The major disadvantage of the deck is not that, but the inability to set the recording level oneself. Although the B&O automatic record level was not as bad as some, it was still not great! The 9500 does at least have an over ride even if the VU metering is pretty basic. Recording level IS manually adjustable on the BC9500

Well, our new kitten somehow got ahold of my A8 earphones and chomped clean through the wire running to one ear. Anyone out there successfully soldered one of these back together? -- Paul

In the general forum, there's discussion of the latest BeoSystem 3 software revision being 4.17. However, here in the US, I just called my dealer, who said we're only up to 2.1. I'm pretty sure we're not talking about the PUC software since the forum discussion mentioned 24p scan rate support. So, is the US on a different revision? is

I should first mention that I live in the US, since it sometimes makes a difference... While I await the release of the next version of the Mini, I've hooked up my MacBook to my BS3. As I got it last summer and haven't updated, it doesn't support fast scrolling yet, but otherwise works well with my BS3 and Panasonic Plasma via a DVI-HDMI

I have Penta II's hooked up to my US BS3 and have no display. I'm using the PowerLink cables that allowed the display to work with my BeoCenter 9500, and the BS3 SW rev is from last Summer (v2?). So I guess the answer from my experience is NO. The Penta's were, however, selectable as a speaker type. If anyone has better luck, let us know

Actually, it was a Blu-ray player. Would a regular DVD player NOT have this behavior? I'm also still confused. Wouldn't a Blu-ray player's remote have separate menu navigation and chapter skip buttons, just like a regular DVD remote? I thought the transport mode existed on the Beo4 simply because there weren't enough buttons. However

I went to play with a Beo5 recently. It was set up to a BS3. Then I tried skipping chapters with the up/down buttons on the outer ring. Didn't work. Apparently, these are not programmable. Is this really true? Can anyone out there skip through chapters this way? The dealer said I'd have to hit the green button first. Yuck. I really want the
