Although a pair of BeoLab's connected to the centre output daisy chained off the DTS module will play in mono as the centre it still has big advantages to using a pair. First is matching the power output of the other speakers in the setup, a single BL4000 will not match the power output of most other BeoLab's and therefore be drowned out by

B&O and Aston Martin are the only two niche brands in the top ten, so having made the cut I would say is a big deal as all the other brands are major players.

I've been told there is a new Sub on the way, not to replace BeoLab 2 but as a second option. It's reportedly revolutionary in the way it delivers bass and shaped like a flower. Can be wall mounted too!

BeoVision 9 tech specs: 2x 250 watt! class D Amps. Range 45-20,000 hz. thats more than any other tv and more than any average pair of speakers, why do you think the BV9 cost so much. the speakers inside it are better than a pair of BL4000's. Obviously the experience is much better once you start investing in the extra experience of surround.

It works in the same way as every other B&O T.V, defaults to mono if there are other speakers connected for surround Sound and stereo if they run on their own, the only difference is that it has a single acoustic lens that defaults to mono because obvisously there is only one Acoustic lens, not two. Same as the bass driver in BS1, BL7.1, BL7.2.

BV9 will play in stereo in conjunction with the mono acoustic lens if there is no other speakers connected to it, much like the BS1 speaker set up it has left and right drivers with individual amps. Check the specs, the speaker setup inside BV9 is more than capable of delivering sound on it's own. Go to a showroom and try it out on it's own

Looks awsome! I went for the black frame though still looks magic. I hear a new S.W upgrage will be available in November (solves the switch off problems some are experiencing with HDMI).

2) You'd have to buy the old old old Beocenter 2 to watch DVDs and it has no HDMI, component etc. It's nearly £3K for a basic DVD player. Superb design, but aged technology. You would just use the PS3 for DVD's.

Hello, I'm using BV4 50" + BS3 (SW4.24) with PS3, Apple TV & Cable Box. The picture on PS3 is just phenomenal! Every time i put a blueray in it just blows me away but now with Apple TV and the ease of surfing for movies, shows, music ect. It's just so easy with the Beo5 controlling it all. The cable box seems to re format sometimes

No, what's the point if you have to go get the disc out of the tray anyway. You can however close the tray with the remote, once you load the disc and sit down then press GO or DVD and it will close the tray.
