• Re: Bang and Olufsen Outsourced

The latest Leica camera uses a Kodak sensor.
The very first Leica had FILM made in the UK, Japan or perhaps somewhere else, maybe even Germany
Yes, the latest M Leica has a Kodak sensor, but anyone following photography (or news in general) knows that may not be for

  • Re: Anyone into slide rules?
Curta's gears
Well, that brings this thread full circle for me! As a recovering retired engineer, I missed the window (college in the '80's) to use a slide rule. I know my father had one, but it disappeared in the early 70's when a TI hand-held calculator showed up. Always wanted to learn, so

  • Re: Beo Play

Hmmm... I like it. Having used a pair of Acoustic Research wireless speakers, the older version OF THIS around the house and outdoors on the patio for about five years... At no time did we ever feed anything but iTunes to them -and at the hindrance of a running server, consumed Airport Express(es), transmitters, wall warts, wiring, and just plain ugliness

  • Re: Non B&o... Quad?

Yep, PayPal and their quirkiness have refunded my payment to Steve for "security" reasons! I emailed and called them... telling them this was a valid transaction and got nothing in return but the refund! Oh well, cost me a week, some aggravation, and one whole whopping penny for the change in currency conversion!

  • Re: Changing belts on Beocord 5000 (4705, 4715) -part 2

Odd that my board was physically different - running change I assume. Wonder which is the later board? Anyway... OMG, I can't believe my board had the same (repaired) break! I did not notice!!!

  • Re: Beomaster 6000 quad

I agree with you guys! The 8000 is very heavy and very awkward! The sheer density of the 6000 is what knocks me out.
I think B&O used plexiglass to lighten the mass of the 6000.
Well, they did a h3ll of a job! I have never lifted a denser/heavier object in my life!

  • Re: BeoPlayer App updated 1.2.4 released

BeoPlayer is just about the only app I have deleted from my iGear. I can, however, give "two thumbs up" to the TuneIn Radio app mentioned above. Just this past Sunday, wifey and I were desperate to get a live feed of an NFL game not being televised in our area. A little googling and I came up with this particular app as a possibility. Wifey
