Probably will be in the menus - or there could be a switch on the back. Set to RGB or CVBS. The MX is as it should be on CDV. You could also try a different scart lead and/or make sure the connections are good and secure. David

Try changing the scart output setting of the DVD player to RGB. If the picture is in B&W it may be set to " S Video". Hope this helps David
I´m also one of them who like the Bv 8-40. It´s not as good looking in 32" i think but 8-40 has perfect proportions, I think. I almost bought one but ended up with a 10-40 because I wanted motorstand which I had on My MX. The 8-40 would have looked a lot sleeker in my home though
I hope the new
Question. If you had about £3,000 and you wanted a second hand B&O tv with HD what would you have? I have seen a few 8's with its 40inc full HD 100hz screen and yes that is appealing. But i have also seen a few 32 inch 7's for about the right figure. Marketed as HD are they full HD. This would be by far

The Beolink video option is not suitable for my particular setup without extensive re-wiring but yes, when you look at the individual parts everything should work the way I have it installed as you say. The 1611 converter will work with newer products as it does with the Avant. Thanks for the help. David

Hi Stefan, Yes there are so many permutations with the kit, I just thought it notable that there are differences (for e.g between the 7-40 mk2 and the mk3) in the PCG regarding control from the link room TV. The LX certainly works all the Avant sources through the MCL2AV. It may be a case of simply trying it all out and seeing if it works - which is

I have an Avant 32/BC9500 and an LX5500 link TV. Looking at the PCG newer TV's such as the BV8/BV10/BV7mk3 do not show the Xtra TV kit in the link room options list. They still show the Xtra active speaker kit (which uses the MCL2AV and a tranceiver) but it is not connected to the link TV. This would mean that stereo sound from both video and audio
I disagree with others about the BV8 ... I have not looked inside at the build quality, but I like the style, texture, capabilities: what I would add is a better centre speaker.
I would add a motorised table and floor stand. All LX/MX (the TV this is supposed to replace) had them. It's a B&O essential

Beocentral's highly regarded and authoritative reviews feature every B&O TV from 1970 right up to the BV10 of today. However they continue to ignore the BV7 and BV8 models. ! The BV7 in particular must warrant a good deal of interest with existing and potential B&O customers, being a flagship model and the subject of many technical revisions
The RF Amplifier can be used to distribute any analogue TV signal so it can be used with the AVANT and Beovision 3 etc without problems.
Are there any differences in the RF modulators used in the various BV7 versions and the BV3/Avant? David
